The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) approach has been shown to be effective in managing both stress and anxiety. While the concept and method is relatively easy, it takes some practice to experience the benefits. Ultimately, it offers a way to feel present in the moment rather than swept away by stress and worry which interfere with participating fully in life.
Carol may introduce and incorporate MBSR strategies if a client is interested and could benefit. For those who would like to experience more in depth MBSR practice, Carol would be happy to refer you to more extensive, weekly sessions offered in the community.
