Carol Speed-Zeyen, MSW, RSW is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Toronto (1994) and has an Advanced Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She has also been trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques and Psychotherapy. Her professional mental health counselling career includes work at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Clarke site), St. Michael’s Hospital, Mackenzie Health, and Southlake Regional Health Centre. She has also provided mental health focused psycho-educational lectures to University of Toronto medical students and provides consultation to Registered Nurses, General Practitioners and Medical Residents. Her specialty area is ANXIETY (including: Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic Attacks/Panic Disorder, Health Anxiety and Simple Phobias), DEPRESSION, SELF-ESTEEM, and STRESS MANAGEMENT.
Carol is a member of the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT), the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
